Grading

Congratulations to all those that graded to their new belts at the end of last year – super proud of you and looking forward to seeing bright shiny new CORRECTLY TIED belt WITH STRIPES SEWN on in class!

A special shout out to CJA’s two newest Black Belts!
Well done Tyler Kramps, and Joshua Mathiesen!

To remind yourself how to tie your belt, pop over to: www.cja.co.za/belt and take two minutes to refresh yourself! It saves time and energy in class.

For those who were not able to make it to the grading – a special grading session will happen before the end of Feb.

If you were not invited at the end of last year to grade, then don’t worry! Your turn will probably come up again this year 😊

In further news we ended 2018 on a HIGH NOTE with the awarding of OVER 80 students their WP Province Colours  in a wide range of disciplines.

Congratulations to all that did so well – we are very proud of you!

COMPETITIONS

Being a fully recognized National Sport – with over 80 CJA students obtaining their Provincial Colours last year, we have several competitions that we enter.

This year the TWO major competitions that we encourage all our students (GRADE 1 and up) to enter to achieve these colours are:

  1. Cape Classic – May (Provincial Tournament) (Date TBC)
  2. Destiny – 28th September in Stellenbosch (National Tournament)

There are other smaller tournaments that are optional and students can enter for fun and experience.

The first one of these is the SWD / EDEN CLASSIC being held in GEORGE on the weekend of 9th and 10th March. (Saturday and Sunday)

We are once again taking a team of students up to George and invite you to join us on this fun weekend away.
You will be responsible for your own transportation, accommodation, food, and leisure 😊

Another mail with specifics will go out in a couple of weeks, as more details are available

CLOTHING

For those that ordered clothing at the end of last year – we should have everything from our suppliers by the end of January.

Please drop Etrecia line on admin@cja.co.za if you have any queries.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

TIME!

Do you know the best thing about time? Everybody has the same amount of hours per day.

“Talk about an ideal democracy! In the realm of time, there is no aristocracy of wealth and no aristocracy of intellect. Genius is never rewarded by even an extra hour a day. Moreover, there is no punishment.

Waste your infinitely precious commodity as much as you will, and the supply will never be withheld from you. Moreover, you cannot draw in the future. Impossible to get into debt! You can only waste the passing moment. You cannot waste tomorrow; it is kept for you. You cannot waste the next hour; it is kept for you.” – Arnold Bennett

Stop for a moment and picture the most successful person you can think of!

Got it?

Perfect!

What makes that person incredibly successful is that they have learned how to use their time efficiently and have created a habit out of it. And one thing they have in common with you is those same 24 hours within a day. That is the beautiful part about it. Because it means your best chance to be successful in life, is to utilize your time efficiently and effectively.

The moment you wake up, you have a clean slate. No matter whom you were the day before or what happened, the moment you open your eyes, you have a whole new beginning.

However, you must learn how to use the most valuable resource, because you can never get it back.

Spend it Wisely!

Have a great week!

Warm Regards

Mike and Alex
